Holla Hump Day...HOLLA BACK!

This week's shout outs go to...

...anyone who has seem me this week and overlooked the fact that I have paint all over me. Actually it's Kilz. Apparently you're supposed to use gloves or something when using this product. It also seems that it only comes off with gasoline or turpentine. I haven't had a chance to go buy either of those things nor do I just have them laying around. Furthermore, I kind of like this look. To me it leads one to believe that maybe I'm the artsy type who sits around and creates beautiful works of art all day. In reality I am attempting a Pinterest project where I'm turning a closet into an office (post coming whenever it's done!). Said closet had lovely dark wood paneling, hence the Kilz. It's in my hair too.

...Comcast for shoving me away from your high priced cable TV inevitably landing me in the realm of Netflix and Amazon Prime. I didn't really watch TV for months. Then we got an astronomically high cable bill and I looked elsewhere. Now we have Netflix and Amazon Prime and I watch TV all night every night. Wait what? How did this happen? Yes, I pay much less. Yes, I am watching life altering shows like "Orange is the New Black". However, my productivity level has dropped dramatically. Plus, my nightmares are through the roof because Seth makes me watch "The Walking Dead". Way to go Comcast. This is what I like to call a "backhanded holla".

...to all the room parents out there...past, present, and future. Especially the overachieving ones. After teaching for three years with three amazing room parents I am now a room parent myself. And let me tell you, it's no joke. I don't mean in the hard work sort of way. I mean more in the random assortment of things that need to get done that could easily fall through the cracks of life sort of way. Let's just say there are lots of cracks in my house that these tasks could fall through. I have a new appreciation for the job!

...to all of you who reshare and like ISL on Facebook, and to those of you who tell me often how much you love to read this blog. It sounds so narcissistic, but isn't that part of being a blogger? I think so. To counteract that part of blogging I say thank you, thank you, thank you.

I would really love nothing more than for you to comment here or go to the Isn't She Lovely Facebook page and comment with a shout out of your own. Even if it seems silly...it's really refreshing to just say thanks for the little things you know?

Happy Hump Day!

  1. Big Shout out to my children's teachers! Both Mrs. Barnett and Mrs. Powell are amazing and see my children for the awesome kids they are.

And of course, you, Jana. There have been too many times where you have helped me out of a bind that I have contemplated starting my own blog to give you shout outs :) Thank you for our friendship!

And thank you for sharing on this blog....you are so open and honest and we need more people like you in this world. Love you! :)
