Holla Hump Day

It took a little urging and bribing them with the promise of watching a movie when they wake up, but they are asleep! And we are on our way to the greatest place on Earth. That's right my friends. We are about to embark on the least planned trip to Disney World ever. Be sure to keep an eye out for a future post about how to do Disney with two small girls without really planning a thing. It should be really helpful!

This week's shout outs go to...

...the leader of this crazy train to Disney...Mr. Seth Burrow. This was all his doing being that he fell victim to a Hilton Honors points "pay next to nothing for a trip but go to our timeshare meeting" deal. I sound skeptical, but I couldn't be happier about it. We have never gone on a family vacation just the four of us. Now's the time, and why not go trick or treat it up with princesses? I see non-stop wide eyes and little girl shrieks in my immediate future!

...Renee of the most recent Isn't She Lovely feature for loaning us an awesome double stroller for this trip and for handing out some brilliant pointers.

...my fabulous MIL, Lee, for getting us tickets to Sea World. She has been recently and was able to tell me how much she thinks the girls will love it. Because of their ages we weren't sold on anything besides the Magic Kingdom.  Sea World was a welcome idea!

...my cousin Laura for last minute loaning us a Rapunzel wig and stuffed Pascal. I was not aware until last week that the Magic Kingdom does a Halloween party where everyone dresses up. This last minute mama ran out to the store that aims to make parents go bankrupt (the Disney Store) to get costumes. I forked over the cash for a decent dress, but I seriously could not stomach the $20 braid.

...the girl at the money grabbing above mentioned store who reassured me eight times that if Evie refused to be Minnie Mouse I could return it. She was really one of the best sales people I have come across in quite a while. She almost made it worth it to spend the extra money...almost.

...to the universe for blessing us with the ability to do trips like this. I know the girls are so little and they may not remember everything, but Seth and I will remember every minute.

Happy rest of the week/weekend!

  1. Remember every minute! Burn it in your brain. And then write, write, write ALL about it!! Have a great time, my little family! Wish I could be there too!! I love you all. Mom.

  2. Oh Jana, sometimes you just have to take those spontaneous trips. I hope it has been amazing, and I can't wait for the update :)
