Holla Hump Day

This week's shout outs go to...

...my friend Kim for so many things...but for today, I thank her for always checking on me, for always being there, and for taking me to great little lunch places like Cafe Jonah. Yummy. This would be where I snapped the photo of the quote above as we were leaving the place. I tried not to look like a dorky blogger, but I'm pretty sure I just looked like a dork. I am a Roald Dahl fanatic. I couldn't help myself.

...Lila. Apparently I needed a four year old to make it abundantly clear that my plate is too full. Lila told me yesterday that she just missed me too much for our sitter to be coming over again last night. And then she cried for an hour. I am all too aware that striking a balance within all things parenting is so very tough. However, the toughest balance is being mom all the time and still making sure you are being you by living out your dreams and goals. Even though she cried more out of exhaustion than sadness, I am thankful for the reminder to slow down and be present...physically and mentally.

...the wave of music that is popular but not mainstream right now. Or maybe it is mainstream and I just live in a bubble. Either way, I'm loving it. I could seriously do a music post every day right now. I just sent Seth an email outlining five or six upcoming shows I want to go to all of which cost somewhere between $12 and $15. Most of which I am literally falling all over myself to see. I truly can't decide if people haven't caught on so much yet, if there are just too many good ones for them all to blow up at once, or if I have just gotten better at catching them before their ticket prices sky rocket. If you love some of the music I have posted on Isn't She Lovely give me a shout and I'll send your our list. Maybe some of you would like to join us?

...Evie. She keeps it real. She makes me laugh. She never holds back. She also knows that we only use passies in the bed now. It seems she found this one in the depths of the car. Poor second kids eat car seat raisins and suck on dirty pacifiers.

Happy Hump Day Lovelies!
